Milton Erickson – the founder of brief therapy

Kids'Skills has not been developed in a vacuum. It has been influenced by many approaches and individuals. It has been inspired, among other things, by family therapy, cognitive therapy, narrative therapy, brief therapy and particularly solution-focused brief therapy. Of the many many experts that have influenced this approach one in particular stands out. His name is Milton H. Erickson. He was a legendary American psychiatrist who is considered to be the pioneer of what today is often referred to as brief therapy.
